MEASUREMENT OF INDUSTRIAL SUPPLY CONCENTRATION
Policy-makers and researchers use vorious concentration indices to describe industry structure. The range to which industries are concentrated provides useful information on the range and nature of competitive forces acting upon firms in particular industry at any given time. This article examines the more commonly used measures of concetration in market economy.
