ENVIRONMENTAL CHANGES AND KEY CHALLENGES FOR GLOBAL AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY IN POSTCRISIS PERIOD

This paper provides a brief overview of global automotive industry characteristics, explaining environmental changes in terms of supply, demand, regulations, new technologies with attention to global economic crisis. Challenges that global automotive industry faces in the postcrisis period concerning further globalization, complexity problem, bigger role of local R&D departments in new vehicle development and electromobil importance are discussed. In the end, growth perspectives of the global automotive industry will be considered briefly as well.
