THE EFFECTIVENESS OF LEADERSHIP STYLES

This paper deals with the most significant leadership styles demonstrated through particular leadership behavior patterns in the context of business environment changes caused by different factors. Directive, supportive, participative and charismatic leadership styles are discussed. Each of them is analysed considering its  characteristics, advantages and disadvantages, as well as the influences of the environment, followers and organizational surroundings on the choice of the most appropriate leadership behavior under certain conditions.
